Just got back from seeing it.

It was the best movie since the Dark Knight imo.

I thought 2 characters were kind of whack, but it is what helped the story line.

A bunch of action, great story that even older people that didn't know the history of x-men understood.

Hugh played Wolverine like a god, as usual. Sabertooth was ill too. Much better than any x-men imo.

Though, the 2nd movie and 3rd were pretty great.

If your the type of person that waits for the credits to end to see the last scene, it's not really worth it, but there is 2 scenes, just so you'll know.

yeah i went and seen this tonight too. i was pleased with it. Hugh was great, i liked Professor X appearance at the end when he took Cyclops and the kids away to safety.

good story overall, fight scenes were great. thought they could have done more with Gambit.

curious to see the early bootleg of this, i had heard theres a different ending on the bootleg. that they went to a different ending to the movie version. i'll eventually get it.

two scenes if you stay around and watch the credits,

Which ending did you get? Different theatres got different prints of the movie with different endings? I see since you aren't so hyped about the ending you got the ending with Wolverine sitting at the bar drinking and stryker getting arrested?

The Deadpool ending was interesting but i still dont like wat they did to him.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the "other" ending that is being shown in certain theatres. It shows how Deadpool survives and leaves it open for a sequel or a Deadpool movie.

They fucked up Gambit. Where's the Lousiana accent? And he looks like a bitch. The real Gambit ain't no bitch.

Deadpool also, he's not the same at all. I don't recall swords coming out of his arms and shit...

Wolverine and Sabertooth were awesome though. Great chemistry.

I got the ending where he just sits in the bar, the other with Stryker too.

I didn't see the youtube provided one. :(

Fair enough if you're not familiar with the source material and like pop corn flicks then you might like it.

It's actually not a Wolverine movie. It's a Sabertooth movie. He's the only character they develop. Wolverine bounces back and forth between weak, gentle and mean, brutal Logan without any real arc. It's muddled and confusing, just like Ang Lee's Hulk.

Gambit = Ruined

Flies, shoots green shit?

Deadpool = Ruined

No mouth, how does he eat? :lol: Swords come out his hands like Wolvies blades? Controlled by a text command operating system?

"The Blob" is a really good actor who has no reason to be fat other than a throwaway line about his "eating disorder"

The entire boxing sequence was pointless, and they already set the blob up to be indestructible, so don't tell me how metal claws can kill him.

Oh yeah, the scene where he rides the bike through the forest and somehow they can see to shoot at him through all the trees, even though they know (a) he heals instantly and (b) he has a fresh indestructible skeleton and (c) How can they see to shoot through the trees?

That's just a few fuck ups

Bad movie

************Spoiler Alerts**************

I think Logan did evolve. He decided to change, then seemed forced to go against his original belief to become the Wolverine for revenge.

I agree with Gambit being ruined.

Deadpool? Maybe they could have done him better, but remember, he isn't completed in the story....and if that trailer DP posted was a hint that he will be completed in the next movie, then I'm all for them making him better! :nuts:

The Blob was portrayed as a sissy, but I guess the writers had to make Blob afraid of Wolverine at one point just to squeeze out the info. You gotta remember, Blob was hitting on little guys and was never really hurt/dizzy before his encounter with him...and this whole thing on Indestructible skin vs Indestructible steel is a bit of a match I guess. :S

I agree with the tree scene. It was a bit out there. But, you have to remember WHO was shooting. ;) Must have him do something right?

I guess they just wanted more action, and I felt it. Maybe they could have been shooting the Amentia bullets. But the retard took regular bullets.
***********End Spoiler*********************

I guess we just have different views, I think the movie was great.

Oh, and to DP:

I forgot to say, that I didn't see the leak on the internet, b/c if it's a movie I REALLY want to see, then I will go see it in theaters. If it's just a smaller film then I will see the leak online.

*Spoilers*

Rather than focus on the character stuff that made the first half of the first X-Men movie still the best hour of the entire franchise, they zip through it and focus on a bunch of characters that don't matter. They pop up for one scene, deliver a piece of shitty piece of dialog, then die.

Within the first minute, before the opening credit sequence, there is a "I am your real father" moment which is totally useless cause you don't even know who anyone is, so why do you care!?

Ryan Reynolds has one sequence with limited dialog. That's it. The clown from 'Lost' has two sequences, then dies. That's it. There's no reason to care about these people. They don't delve into their powers at all, they don't play with the uses of these powers. It's all dull and moves so quickly that you never have time to care.

Oh, and every time the super strong bad guy comes who everyone knows is unstoppable everyone always runs away, then comes back to fight him and dies. It makes no sense.

The Deadpool scene when the guy typed <decapitate> onto a computer and he tries to decapitate Wolverine. I laughed out loud at that part.

They took really great characters (Gambit & Deadpool) with unique powers and either changed them or spent no time on them. They took generic characters (a guy that can make electric things turn on with his mind and a dude that can teleport) and spend time on them, even though they never use their powers in any creative way.

Sabretooth = Cool

I agree with everything Pauly is saying. I think the biggest let down in the entire movie was that they destroyed Deadpool. I mean blades coming out of his arms? WTF??!!! Oh and Shadows normally any movie that i want to see if it leaks onto the internet i always watch the leak and also go to the theatre.
