how many of you have had them pulled? is it painful as people say it is?

ive never had my teeth pulled, but im starting to get a toothache in my lower left jaw. ive been trying to feel if its the wisdom or the tooth next to it. i have been putting medicine on it, it helps.

it aint bearable to where i'll have to go to the dentist. but if it gets worse i will be making an appointment.

i think its pretty fucked, ur mouth gets swollen and shit but just take pain killers. its one of those things that everyonnneee does and when its over ull be glad u got it done. the only thing id be worried about is going under. not speaking from personal experience tho sorry, i still have my wisdoms

It's a complicated surgical procedure and there's a lot of complications that can occur if the Doctor's advice is not followed.

Your mouth will be swollen, you will be in pain and you will need to do things like, wash your mouth with a saline solution and other things.

It's not a hard thing, its just complicated.

You need to a see Dentist right away before it gets worse.

Good luck, research the Dentist you choose before hand. Most are retarded idiots, trust me, I know.

Not tryin to scare you, but when I got my wisdom teeth pulled it was a disaster.. The doc spent 30 min trying to pull the one on the bottom right and had to end up smashing it with a hammer-like tool and taking it out piece by piece.. Wasnt fun, considering I was bleeding like crazy and swallowing tons of blood..

When I left I was still bleeding and when I got to my car it was so bad I went back in and asked wtf was going on. SO happens that they then had to stitch my gum up which took another 20-30 minutes of drinking blood.. When I got back to my room (i was in the service at the time) I ended up shitting out blood since I swallowed so much.. Nastiest shit that ever happened to me..

And oh it doesnt end.. That night I was watchin TV and all of a sudden I couldnt feel the left side of my face and the left part of my lip, and to this day still cant. So happens they cut a nerve which doesnt seem to be regenerating (its been like 5 years)... :-/

But on the bright side, I get almost 300 bucks a month tax free from the Veterans Association for the rest of my life because of it..

Let this be a lesson for others to choose a competent and well respected oral surgeon.

Top teeth are pretty easy... And all aren't too difficult if the root is straight... I gotta have 1 out myself soon... Smashed it being an idiot and it couldn't be repaired.

I was waiting for mine to come in but they never did.
I was going to an idiot dentist...The same dentist my whole life.
I finally decided to go to the dentist my cousin works for. He has all new equipment and I trust him because he does all of my cousins work.

He (actually my cousin) did x-rays of my whole mouth which my other dentist never did...and saw that I don't even have wisdom teeth on the bottom...just two on the top that are impacted and damaging the teeth in front of it.
I've never had any cavities OR anything done to my mouth except routine cleanings...
Now I have to go in and have my wisdom teeth dug out and 2 crowns put over the teeth that are being damaged by my wisdom teeth. I'm getting gold teef :)

Other than that my teeth are perfect...still no cavities but my midline is off a lil...When my dentist was talking about my teeth I thought he was gonna have an orgasm...He's like OOOOOH YESSS those are nice.

It was an army Lt. Colonel that did it since officers do I think most surgical procedures in the US service, at least from what I've seen.. But yea now that I'm out I would love to kick his ass!

I got all four cut out at once. I waited so long to get them done. I was prolly 25 when I got them cut out and what a mistake for waiting. That shit hurt so fucking bad. My shit was sore for like three weeks. Coulnt eat a damn thing either for a while.

Well Kevin trust me , i've been there (especially in the field of dental medicine) but look on the bright side... this damage isn't seriously affecting your life, and as you said , it doesnt negate the damage but 300 USD a month might help.. So I feel ya man, I wanna kick ass too lol but fuck it... i'll work harder to be a better Doctor than these fags.
