Why would you do this to Richard Pryor?

Man, he's in bad shape. And that idiot interviewer is asking him questions.

Richard in 1993: "Since the earthquakes last year didn't kill me, the drugs didn't kill me, the fire didn't kill me (although it hurt like a bitch), and my ex-wives (God bless them all) didn't kill me, there is no way I'm going to let the MS kill me, But, yes, I think about dying. I just don't want to die alone, that's all. That's not too much to ask for, is it? It would be nice to have someone care about me, for who I am, not about my wallet."

i was flipping channels when i saw this....didnt even know that was him slouched over like that...pretty sad reminds u of superman but at least they have great great wives who are their rock of strenght thru these times...

He's a comedian. You like Eddie Murphy's standup? Chappelle? etcetera...ask any of them, Pryor is a HUGE influence on them.

But, that is pretty sad...:(

oh right right. I think i know who he is now.
What happened to him? Drugs?

^^^....

Comedian RICHARD PRYOR claims multiple sclerosis has had a positive effect on his life, because it ended a downward spiral further into drug addiction.

The 64-year-old was diagnosed with the debilitating disease in 1986 and is now wheel-chair bound and cannot speak - but he insists he has lead a more fulfilling life since his diagnosis.

Pryor - who attempted suicide in 1981 and battled drug addiction throughout much of the 1970s and 1980s - explains, "I found that my life, instead of ending because of MS, changed.

"Perhaps it was God's way of telling me to chill, look at the trees, sniff the flowers rather than the coke and see what it's like to be a human being."

He has Multiple Scelerosis.

Damn, I really can't make the connection between the man I'm familiar with, and who I just saw then...last time I saw him was on that movie Lost Highway, I thought he was in bad shape then, but now it's just terrible.

That's fucked up, it's sad to see a great person in that condition, he's had a hard life man being raped when he was younger and all that, that's real sad

its a shame he is in that condition but you shouldnt feel sorry for him..
he is the best comedien.. even people nowadays cant touch him.. the interview is about celebrating what he has accomplished not saying its sad what hes become
