Why was My Block (Remix) released?

nu mixx shits over loyal to the game
and the fact that every remix sounds like the others. had there been only one or two vegas tracks it'd have been hot. lttg and nu-mixx show just how shitty one producer on one album is conceptually.

There were a couple nice remixes on it, but it was pretty pointless since none of them really surpassed their originals and there was no demand for a remix album. I much rather would have preferred Death Row to put out another compilation with even just one new Pac song on it, or even one of their albums that got indefinitely postponed... like Crooked I or whatever.

But yes, production-wise, Nu-Mixx dominates Loyal to the Game.

Agreed... there are only a few exceptions

I think Nu Mixx and Loyal 2 The Game are equivalent beat wise. Em's beats were pretty good, its mostly the fucked up vocals and appearances that ruined songs, and the appearances didnt even sound bad for the most part, you just dont put G-Unit on a Pac song. It's not right.

Not really, Friends was released on a unpopular Deathrow compilation after Pacs death, as was Late Nite and Who Do you Believe In. It's a totally different story, and stop putting dots after everything you say, you're not mysterious.

way to leave out Thug Nature asshole

and you should've said "as WERE late night..etc" you failure

My Block remix..is one of the dopest songs ive ever heard. the beat..and the hook with the kidz...shit was perfect. and it added alot more "feeling" then the OG.

dats my opinion. if i had a choice...of only releasing only 1 verisions of dat song. i NEVER woulda released the og.

^ Totally agree My Block remix is a fucken great song, if they can re-do any old song like that they should continue to do it on future releases. I think everyone agrees its a hot track, actually i think it was nitty that produced that and from what i remember he made a few good beats for BD.

Production-wise, Better Dayz wasn't all that bad... they enlisted some decent producers new to Pac's work, like Nitty and Briss. Jazze Pha came through on a couple songs, like Changed Man. It was E.D.I. who fucked up production... AGAIN.

i personally think edi ruins a couple songs too. he ruins a bunch of pacs song from back in the day.
Every single song that E.D.I. has touched got ruined, with the exception of Military Minds, which is alright. But Tattoo Tears and Whatcha Gonna Do were given corny ass beats, and Catchin Feelins is a beat that E.D.I. tried to make complex but didn't succeed, and its abundance of instruments sounds too cluttered.

Life of An Outlaw. i hate dat song cuz of edi. pac was so pissed n shit...then he comes along and ruins the whole beat and verse.

it was refreshed for the 2000, that song is old as HELL, a classic track by pac that MOST PPL ddn't realize it existed, so WHY NOT UPDATE IT, but i thank THE GODS THAT they really didn't fck up THIS SONG...............

the original version will always be the shyte to me BUT the new version is right up their ;)

I guess i'm in the minority here, but i never really got into the remix. Maybe it's because i'd been listening to the Show version since it came out, but i always loved that song. You're right, they didn't completely fuck it up, but it lost it's charm to me when they remixed it

EDI has fucked up a lot of Pac's shit but I don't think the beat on "Whatcha Gonna Do" was all that bad. I think it was pretty bangin actually, but no doubt the OG blows it outta the water.

the og was like a 5 sec loop..... i think it was intended 2 be changed.......
..

oh i kno its a old song. i heard the OG..a long ass time ago. but i never really felt it..until i re-heard it on the remix.

me, too. i never really liked the beat on the original release so i never really listened to the song. then the remix came out and i loved it, so i listened to the words. i love the remix, the OG is alright.

I personally think the remix is a lot better than the og, but that might just be because I heard the remix first.
