I think when he rap's with the front part of the word rather then the end is part of what makes his work genious.
There is no genius in using alliteration. Many lesser writers in a variety of fields have incorporated this straightforward technique to good effect.

This isn't exactly 'Old English' as the word is still used today. Furthermore, even if you were to consider it 'Old English' using it doesn't make you a genius.
