why profs and cell phones dont mix

The video has turned me into that professor's fan. Notice the 17 inch PowerBook? He's a great guy.

Does anybody know what university he teaches at? I would like to send him a nice basket of fruits and chocolate.

a friend of mine said that while in a quiz section, some girl did something like this and the TA grabbed her phone and threw it out the third story window. I'm not sure the whole legal situation with doing something like this.

you'd fucking lack respect to him... if i was him, id knock the dude in the face with the phone, give him an E and make him unable to take the class again for the next 2 years... fucking twat

lol, so basically you'd get yourself fired and possibly arrested for assault because some twat was talking on a phone in your class? i would have taken the phone away and probably kicked him out of class but i wouldn't break his phone. i can almost guarantee you that he ended up buying the kid a new phone.

haha...an E

hahaha son of a gun just continued lecturing haha

I would pull a "Preach", press charges - claim emotional distress - and cry like a bitch... remember, you heard first.. I would pull a "Preach"

RIZZZLE!

I hope you would turn off your phone when you're in a class room. You can see the professor pause as the phone rings. He is clearly annoyed at that point, and to make things worse, the dude starts talking. Put yourself in the shoes of that professor. Not only is the guy wasting the professor's time, he is being a nuisance to people around him and some of them might be trying to listen to the professor. The professor might have overracted but the true ass in the whole picture is the guy with the phone. This situation is no different than the situations you and I have faced in the past. A phone ringing in a threater is bad enough but some people choose to answer the call. I've worked in retail and people do talk on their phones at the checkout and people do talk on the phone while trying to order food. etc. Mobile phone uses have gotten out of control. Why do people feel the need to talk to somebody that bad? Back in the days when we didn't have the technology, we were able to wait, so why not now?
