Yeah I laughed at it too. But now because it was good or clever in any way.. but because it was so ridiculously whack. I respect the fact that dude puts in alot of work. I like the way he flows sometimes. I like his beat selection. It's just his voice and the simple cornball shit he spits that makes me not like him.

I hate how he freestyles acapella too. He sounds like a fucking retard (literally) when he's spitting acapella all slow.

That song he made a while back "BM J.R." is kinda dope. Other than that though, dude seems like ass to me. There's a few others. But even then, his voice still ruins it for me.

Of course, but Wayne isnt on a random street corner cypher is he? He isnt entering in freestyle battle competitions, nor is he saying he would win if he did. All he says is he doesnt write his lyrics and freestyles them, hes never said he was the BEST freestyler.

And that freestyle, yes it was wack if you put it against dudes that freestyle competitively, but he doesnt, and it wasnt meant for that. It was something to get a crowd reaction and it did just that.

im not even talking about competitive freestyles .... i'm talking bout lil 14 year old kids that cypher for kicks.. If one of them hopped in the cypher and spat some shit like that, he woulda got laughed at and clowned for the rest of his life.

... and that freestyle doesn't make a good case for someone that claims to freestyle their lyrics. I've met enough cats that claim shit like that, what they actually do is spend an hour or hours formulating verses in their head and then spit em. Yes its true they dont write em, but that doesnt mean they freestyle them either.

... and like frodawgg said, he only got a crowd reaction cuz he's lil wayne.

.. i'm not hating on wayne, let em do his thing, i dont really care. I see the dude as a pop artist that comes with some catchy shit, that people love. How good of an emcee he isin my eyes? well thats something else.
