Why did they make a video for Made Niggaz?

After watching 15 years on death row, why did Pac choose to even consider making a video for a song that would be completely butchered by MTV and BET?

The 15 Years on death row version censors simple words like "strap" and "cane"

and when Fatal says "how many made niggaz..." to start off his verse, they censor that entire line, so it leaves a huge gap inbetween the song and would make new viewers be like why did it take so long for the verse to change.


From a marketing/business standpoint, this was a horrible song to make a video for.

It was originally a short film - wasn't finished, footage was used as the video.

That's how a lot of the hardcore westcoast videos were. It wasn't just with pac. Look at Ice Cube, other Death Row artists or MC Eiht etc...Even videos of today do that. I haven't seen the censored version of made niggaz yet but I'll check it out

Personally I'm so glad he and the outlawz made that video. It's one of my fav tracks. I know they butcherd the hell out of it but that's what happens when a non tv or non radio friendly song or video is made.

It was the song Made Niggaz on the Super Cop soundtrack,I bought that then they put it on the Gang Related n made a vid 4 the Gang Related.Super Cop soundtrack was wack it had rock n roll,wit Dogg Pound had a nice song n Outlawz n Pac hac had Made Niggaz.They made money of me twice!!

I like how they got footage of this video on the Hit em Up video - (big screen in the background).

This definately one of my favourite 2Pac videos.
