Well earlier this year they were planning on overturning the court ruling, making it illegal to share files once again. I don't know if this has happened yet, or if it will happen, but I know a couple months back there was a lot of talk about it

bigmack said:yea, thats when it becomes illegal. downloading them and burning them for personal use is fine.

at the end of the day, it's not the leechers who get busted - it's those dumb shits who leave kazaa on 25/8 with a library of 10,000 mp3's. if you're serving music, then you should know the risks. then again, with technology these days, claiming ignorance when you get busted for the first time is always a get out of jail free card.CalcuoCuchicheo said:Actually, elaborate on the technicalities.

Devious187 said:Yo bigmack, do you have a source on this? Because last I heard, the decision made in 2003 that p2p downloading in Canada is legal was going to be overturned. I looked for any info on a new decision being made and only found articles referring to the 2003 decision.
