I think it was more of the fact that he released it after 2pac got shot. It was most likly not directed to him when it was being made. But why would you release a song called who shot ya after 2pac got shot.

So in that aspect , it could of been a diss just 4 the fact biggie released it during that time.

agrred and imo thats why pac took it as a shot. coming out of jail pac could not be seen as backing down or looking like a pussy so thats prob why he came at biggie so hard

that LL verse is from the remix. the opening lines on the I Shot Ya OG (on the same album) are:

"I shot ya, splitting brothers open like a doctor
You fell asleep, the vampire teeth got ya"

The line doesn't really sound the same as BIG's, but the delivery kind of does.

Who Shot Ya is NOT a diss to 'Pac. It was released on the first pressing/release of the vinyl of Ready To Die (this version also had a different cover, a signed poster inside it, and the track "Dreams" was on there too).... This track was done a LONG ASS time before Biggie and Pac were even beefing.
