i also say lol over and over again when i can't be arsed talking. too bad people don't take the damn hint.

i use it a lot. for instance. if someone ask me something and i go "no lol" i don't mean it as "no HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH" it's more like chuckling while saying "no", you know that kinda unexpected, funny "no". i dunno, i never use it to underscore that i am laughing out loud because i most often aren't. with that being said, i also use "sicnalbtif" which means "sitting in chair not actually laughing but think's it's funny". lol all the time is very annoying, okay if you really do "laugh out loud" but if your don't then don't type; lol, especially not in a very serious conversation. At times I just want to ask the lol-ing person "what is so funny?" But it all just ends up with "lol" anyway.

Yeah, I find when people use shit like "rofl" it actually means something - usually because they use it more sparingly.
