you just hate simon. Makaveli loved simon, thats why he made the song "never had a friend like me" for simon to show him he got love for him.

Yes, I do despise Suge, and yes, I realize that Pac wrote "Never Had a Friend LIke Me" for Suge. But that was before Pac realized Suge was fucking him financially and had DR audited.

I don't think never had a friend like me was about Suge.

I believe it was a metaphor for different periods of Pac's life. DR and pre-DR.

yeah i think the same... dont think its about one person

Never Had A Friend Like Me

was about Suge

No one knows this for sure. Only Suge says so...

And he named dropped Suge in many songs, using the alias Simon. So why not name him here...

This is a debatable point because no one has said it apart from Suge, who loves looking like the victim.. I believe it was about himself, he could only true trust 1 person, 2pac.

Makaveli didnt say anybodys name in "I aint mad at cha" either

So... What point does that prove... He makes references that lead you to believe that song is about several people.

Never had a friend like me - from lyricsdepot

Never

You ain't never had a friend like me

Believe dat

Cause you ain't never had a friend like me

See at night I watch the sky

I take another breath

I smoke my new joint to the bud

Like it's the last muthafucker left

Just me and you evading enemies

Let you get my last shot of Hennessy

Ain't never had a friend like me

Remember memories so vividly

Was once a little dust kicker now becomes a G

Who can I call when they all fail

Collect calls to my Dogz from the County Jail

Sendin' me mail

Heard the blocks in the same shape

Ain't nothin' changed

Niggaz slangin' at the same place

The same faces

We suppose to alwayz hate our foes

This lifestyle is forever

Watch the game unfold

Shedding Crocodile tears

Just got Life plus

And you wonder if these white judges like us

Just Stay Strong

We'll appeal

Nigga You'll be free

Down with cha to the very end

Cause you ain't never had a friend like me

[Chorus X2]

I'm down for you so ride with me

My enemies your enemies

Cause you ain't ever had a friend like me

Nobody knows where we'll be

My Enemies your enemies

Cause you ain't never had a friend like me

How can I be blamed

Forgive me Lord I'm insane

In search of fame

Won't hurt to change

Follow in foot steps of past dealers

Equipped with ski masks

No witnesses, as we blast fearless

Reckon now they feel us

In this act of war

more casualties

no survivors

Any man the defies us

Quickly dies

Cuz we Ridahs

In my quest for chips

We wear vest

Equipped with automatic fire

We reply when my enemies trip

Me and you against the nation

Whispering while we conversatin'

Cuz niggaz died over information

How much more can we take?

Expect us all to wait

The world ain't ready for us yet

So lets make Clinton pay

(haha)

They never wanted us to make it

Everything that we posses

We had to fight and take it

I think the president is smoking weed

Bumpin' his beat

Makin' a livin' out of my misery

Till he got a friend like me

[Chorus X2]

Promise to visit

I know it's rough in your cell

Receiving mail to the county jail

This is hell

When I was young

I could picture livin'

In Luxury

So how the fuck did I end up in prison?

Fuckin' snitches

They got me crossed by my own side

I found him by his self

No drama, he alone die

Nobody cry

Should have never testified

You got my nigga 25

So now I sacrifice your life

Help to separate me and my dog

Broken ties

Why the fuck should I let you live?

When I'm dead inside

Rapid fire my delivery

I'm bustin' at their whole crew

Nigga remember me

Hit up my Outlaw set

Then throw my pistol in the ocean

Ditch my ski mask

And get to straight coastin'

It's visitin' day at San Quinton

Always there to see your closest row dog

Cuz You ain't ever had a friend like me

[Chorus X4]

[Small Chorus X2]

Come after us, best be complete

My enemies your enemies

Cause you ain't ever had a friend like me

Nobody knows where we'll be

My Enemies your enemies

Cause you ain't never had a friend like me

You ain't ever had a friend like me

This is a debatable point because no one has said it apart from Suge, who loves looking like the victim.. I believe it was about himself, he could only true trust 1 person, 2pac.

It was never meant to be released, just somethin Pac did for Suge, after being left for dead in jail by all his boys, Suge freeing him and willing to help ride on his enemies, just pouring out his heart, and Suge slapped it on Gridloc'd after Pac was taken

arguing who the song was for can be argued until the break of dawn like who killed Pac

I got love for Suge, he far from what the white mainstream coporate media makes him out to be

I know where you're coming from & I agree - I don't think the song is about Suge.

What you said about it being about himself is interesting though, because I always thought that, with him feeling betrayed by so many people during his life, he had made this song to profess how loyal he was to his friends & how everybody should recognize that this makes it so wrong to fuck him over.

Ironic that Suge went on to say it was about their friendship eh?

Yeah, so many of these mistakes on lyric sites could be easily cleared up if the translators actually knew anything about the artist (ie. 2Pac smoked Newports)

Jason, marion would never hurt Makaveli's feelings by fuckin him over financially. Makaveli thought marion was fuckin him over but really it was David kenner (thats why he got decked by Makaveli in late august).

Marion even gave Makaveli free cars and other expensive shit

Yeah, he gave him cars and jewelry and then charged it to Pac's account without Pac knowing it.

Why do you think there are some that claim Pac owed Suge millions instead of Suge owing Pac? Because everytime Pac started bitching to Suge about how he wasn't being paid, Suge would have one of his gangbanger Blood lackeys go get Pac some nice ice with gold, or a new RR and charge it to Pac's account.

You gotta point. That was one of the aspects in which Pac was so contradictory. One minute he does an interview talking about "all the niggaz" he has behind him, then does an other interview saying "I don't have any true friends".

I got love for Suge, he far from what the white mainstream coporate media makes him out to be

If Suge isn't what he's portrayed to be, how come some of the most well known people in the industry are scared shitless of him? Ask Vanilla Ice what kinda guy Suge is. Suge has a rap sheet that would make a book fatter than the dictionary, has been on probation and parole countless times, has gone to jail/prison several times, but the media is wrong about him?

Pleeeaasee... You're as gullible as my 78 year old grandma everytime my heroin addicted uncle convinces her he's off heroin, then she turns around and he steals $40 out of her purse.
