Yea read a MORI poll on that back in 2001, there have been a few more since. But it only counts for a mild accent...not no highland Willie off The Simpsons lol But I'd agree a mild scottish or irish accent is pleasant on the ear. :thumb:

I think mist people perception of the English accent may not be accurate. The calm, well mannered and polite Englishman probably accounts for a minority. In most parts of the country there's different dialects, accents and slang. Some sounds like a totally different language to the untrained ear. But I gues that's true for every country and language.
