back in the summer of 1998 or whenever back in the day when if you was anything like me was bumping tupac's music day in day out ... what 2pac album to you is most reminiscent of summertime?

i put the thug life album on last week and it reminded me a lot of summertime when i would take my stereo out into the garden when i was working on my bike or just sat in the sun drinking beers listening to 2Pac.

For me it would have to be Greatest Hits, thats one of the first albums I bought when I first got into 2Pac and rap music in general, it was my last year in school so had a bit of study leave and listened to it alot when I should've been studying, and then that entire summer I dont think the discs left my stereo, which was obviously a great summer cos I was done with school!

Though now my favourite and the one that gets most play is matw.

For me AEOM, tracks like Aint hard to find, cant C me, picture me rollin, when we ride and off course Cali love are the Pac tracks i relate to the summer.

Gang related soundtrack. Especially "Lost souls" and "Starin' through my rearview". Other than that I'm not sure at all. Probably Thug Life.

Hmm...am i one of the only people on here who was a Pac fan when Pac was actually alive?

Lol, I was seven when Tupac died. Being that I'm white as fuck and from the suburbs in bumb fuck no where Canada I didn't know he existed till I was thirteen.

Actual albums, I don't really know. The Makaveli album mostly. Its more individual songs for me that bring me back to certain times. I never really got hooked on albums to be honest. I'd discover one, two, three songs at a time and put em on repeat for a month. I probably did this with 90% of his songs, I downloaded the majority of his material before I bought the actual albums. Songs off the top of my head:

Krazy (I literally listened to this one song and only this one song for a month straight, its that good)
Hell Razor
Changes
Staring Through my Rearview
Thug Mansion
Catchin Feelings
Until the end of time
My Block

After reading through this thread and the one about album says it got me thinking to how much I used to listen to Pac. I went through about 2 and a half years of listening to 85% Tupac and the feeling I'd get when I'd discover a new song like Hellraozr, U can be Touched OG, Krazy. That I'll likely never have that feeling again is seriously depressing.

i was, briefly. i was first exposed to him through "California Love", the song my brother referred to as "the new Dr. Dre song" when it first came out. I got the (clean) single of "How Do U Want It" first, and taped a few songs off my friend's AEOM, which I then bought after he died. After that, it was on.

First of all - you will. There are some gems in the vault that'll come out sooner or later.

Secondly - there are thousands of incredible artists in the world. I am sure sooner or later you will discover someone who's music means as much to you as Pac's and you will have that feeling as you hear more and more of their catalog for the first time.
