that wouldnt of happened kobe was a free agent if he didnt sign with lakers the team with the best chance would of been the clippers. he wouldnt sign for less then he would of recieved for putting on a clippers uniform and get traded to philly just to be home. if they kept shaq they would of lost kobe and had enough room for maybe a 20 ppg guy. remember if shaq was still there malone would of came back for one more season and garry payton would of still been signed, same with rick fox.
