Are you going to take your husbands surname? I always imagined I would but since coming to Scotland, where my grandfather who I never met came from, I suddenly have an appreciation for my surname - now I have more of an idea of who it came from. I dunno if I would want to give it up now. Plus with a name like mine which is a little unusual, I'd have to be choosy about what comes after it - it could sound stupid, lol. So yeah, I dunno what I would do, I guess it would depend on the name itself. What about you?

I always figured I would take my husbands on, kinda the tradition. But if I wanted to I would just keep mine and add his on, if it sounds too long or complicated you could always shorten it for most stuff. My mothers maiden name has only one child left and she's a girl, it kinda bothers me that that name will die out soon

ummmm.. i think that no. i like my name. i have a certain passion to not go along tradition for a lot of things and it includes this. i guess its my independant side. but my kids will take the father's name of course. i find it ugly when kids have like a ton of different surnames.

Probably when i get married to lance. Which should be within the next couple of months. I will have the double last name. I love my last name to lose it too much but i also want to have his last name. So it will be kemp-boatwright. or something like that.
^lol. me it would have been carmen riopel, or carmen gaouar. now it would be carmen labrosse. but i'd rather have my last name which is pitoscia. i can't see my first name with any other last name even tho it could sound alright. i love my last name and i am proud of it. but i could get it doubled with his last name if he insists.
i think katie kennerly has a ring to it. i have 2 brothers to carry it on and i dont really care about my last name so i wouldnt mind, unless it was a weird one... i wanted to change my name a few years back anyway but my mum cried so i didnt :laugh:

my friends last name used to be french. When she married it turned to chesseray hoar. (pronounced whore) hahaha
