When people are being nice...

I'm being paranoid but for good reason

2 weeks ago i went to this new club in melbourne which is quite prestegious and exclusive. The guy at the door grabs my number and calls me a week later asking me to manage the promotion team for him. I'm like ok.... sure, you don't even know me but sure. Then last night i went to the club again and he was buying me drinks, introducing me to all these girls, and then he introduced me to the owner of public liability who is a big player in promotions and events. This guy wants to discuss business on saturday and organised a meeting for then. They're all like... we really want you on board, you can be a valuable addition to our team.
I do do event promotions for 4-5 clubs in melbourne and 2 other promotion companies, but this scene is a totally different scene (the swanky, prestigious, exclusive, coke headed rich kids scene) to what i promote for. So these people wouldn't know me. But yeah... weird.
On top of this one of the top Dj's in Australia contacts me today and wants me to design a logo for him.
So this all adds to my paranoia...
Why are these people all being nice to me?
What do they want from me?
How do they know me?

Have you been put in situations like this? did you end up getting f*cked over? am i just being paranoid? What the fuck is going on?

Yeah it's a good thing that's happening but can't help but be cautious. .
I'm getting a few opportunities that are presenting themselves but if there's one thing i do know is that there's no such thing as a free lunch. Plus i think these people are expecting me to do bigger things for them than i'm capable of. I love helping businesses florish but these are already florished and already prestigious places. I honestly don't know what i can provide them.

The meeting tomorrow should be exciting. Public liablity are running one of the biggest events of the year in 2 weeks time.

i do reckon i'm good for there business but as i said before i think the over estimate my abilities.
Last night i had VIP entry to 4 different clubs. i got 11 tickets worth $50 each for me and 10 friends to rock it out at a sold out event.
This morning i got 2 concert tickets for red hot chilli peppers and another two for Tool (both have been sold out)
i'm enjoying it while it lasts, and i don't discuss business during the night unless i'm sober (something i learnt the hard way a year back).
Anyway that's the exciting part of things. I'm on my way to managing a band as well. Which is fucking amazing... they have some serious skills in playing some alternative dance music.
Getting home at 10am this morning did some serious damage to me.
yo Ruk... when are u coming to melbourne. I pretty much own this fucking city now . Though i have nothing to do with any r&b clubs since the crowd just plain shits me... i'm sure some will come through soon enough.
