When does an Apple not become an Apple?

A philosophical riddle I got from a book. It means, You start off with an Apple before you eat it; It's an Apple before you eat it, but yet not after. So, at what point does it loose its appleness?

^^
but the human body doesnt digest the whole apple in one . an apple consists of a trillion billion atoms and the apple is digested over a period of time. basically, it doesnt lose its appleness at one specific point, it loses its appleness over a period of time. technically, one could say that the apple is no longer an apple soon as the last cell has been split.
