Any of you still raging lol?

Those days are long behind me, my biggest concern right now is which meat to buy for the BBQ Im hosting at mine and if I have enough seats lol

Having a quiet night chilling with the family as always. Like you said, those partying days are long behind me.

Just bought a couple of tickets for this:

I was in bed by 9:30. At midnight I was trying to rock a six month old back to sleep.

It sounds so incredibly boring but I love more than I can explain.

Random, out of left field question and don't answer if you don't want to, but how is your dad doing?

He’s gone man. Passed on 7 June 2025. Went the assisted dying route. I will never forget the last time I saw him. He was so twisted and deformed (the cancer had spread through his entire body).

Thanks for asking man. I’ve only spoken with one friend about it and he lives on the other side of the world

I'm sorry to hear that, man. I remember I had lost my mom shortly before you told us about your dad. Cancer is a bitch. Since she passed, we've lost a couple of family friends to cancer and we've all seen and heard about the celebs lost recently to cancer.

For me, some solace is that the timeline of her sickness and her passing was not all that different to others. Very few stick around more than two years from diagnosis. For most, they find out and are gone within months. Doesn't matter if it's a Regular Joe or a celeb worth millions. It doesn't discriminate.

I sometimes felt we/she were cursed that it was found so late and wondered "what-if" but it really makes no difference. That's the nature of the beast; it does what it wants and on its own terms.

The assisted dying route, I think I've heard about that being a thing in Canada. As sad as the circumstances were, having some control after being diagnosed with something is a silver lining. I hope it becomes a thing in the US, too.
