What's a 'Mania without Hulk?

April 3, 2005

BY BLACKJACK BROWN

The situation couldn't be more perfect -- Hulk Hogan unleashing Hulkamania one more time Sunday at WrestleMania in Hollywood. It's the most fitting place for the Hulkster to start a final run in the WWE.

Hogan will be inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame the night before by old friend Sylvester Stallone and will be on hand for the WrestleMania event the following night. During a recent radio interview, Hogan said that he does not want to disrespect anyone by making an appearance unannounced but admittedly will have a hard time being in the building for the year's biggest event and just sitting on the sidelines. Can the Hulkster go 20 minutes in the ring every week? Probably not. But one thing for sure is that he still can put fans in seats and can draw TV viewers by the millions.

HEARD AROUND THE RING: Sting has confirmed he has been negotiating with the WWE, but it sounds like nothing is close at this point. ... The Dudleys have reported to OVW and will get tuned up for a return in May. ... The WWE soon will release a DVD chronicling the careers of Road Warriors Hawk and Animal, a.k.a. The Legion of Doom. ... The Ultimate Warrior said he would turn down the WWE if he were to be invited to the Hall of Fame.

I wanted to slap everyone involved when Hogan came down tonight

A full 5 minutes at least, or his old ass gonig through the old routine.

Especially with their racist storylines

My man you are not an amateur, don' use the word 'playing', it makes all of us wrestling fans feel gay.

And I know 'fighting' implies that we really believe in it but hey, better blind than gay....hmmm, sounds like an ode to masturbation that a cellmate may think of...

Oh come on. The "Real American Hero" beat up a couple of America-hating Arabs. Yeah, no racism there at all.

Man that was a great Wrestlemania. Every match was great, apart from Trish vs Christy which was horrible. Imagine how Molly and Victoria felt having to watch that.

HBK and Angle put on a clinic, How sweet was Sheltons move where he ran up the ladder and clotheslined Y2J from the top of it?! And of course it was great to see Austin back.

Austin - "Thank you, you son of a bitch" *SLAP*
