Whatever happend to the guy travon tupacs homeboy that he died for

I thought Orlando didnt have any tickets to see the fight. At least thats what the investigators say...

But what I dont understand is why did Suge's homeboy point Orlando Anderson out to 2pac instead of Suge or any of the other nameless niggaz wit them. Why would that real gangster tell this multi-platinum celebrity rapper whose on probation and aint even really a gangster to handle his gangsta business? Orlando was by himself - why couldnt this Trevon nigga just step to him himself? Why take advantage of Pac's arrogance like that knowing that he's the major asset to the company and he's got a lot to lose?
good points Lot of times whereever Pac went out he automaticaly turned into the leader and it could of been just a spur of the moment shit and suge etc didn't know it was goin down Until it was goin down.

btw, i remember a few years back conspiracists with the whole Suge story etc tryin to say that Suge was caught on tape hangin with Orlando before the fight hapened - All Bullshit right?. I think they just came across them and soon as dude seen orlando was just like Yo thats man who took my chain, whispered it maybe but maybe was right behind Pac. and Then its like at least somethins gona go down and Pac stepped to him. very bad decision obviously but shit like that can happen out of no where.

I remember readin an article where Kidada said when Pac came back to the room to change he said make sure u stay here, it's on" and said that he was real upset that he got in a fight with a Crip

^^^ I didnt know that there was a "meeting" of some sort, thought it was more of a agreement back at DR that they wont risk being caught with firearms. Is'nt the sentence in Vegas tough for that compared to other area's? To them it was like going to a
MTV/Source awards ceremony and very rarely anyone brings guns to that.

I can see why people are confused over it, theres Franks version in the book, there's Suge's explanation in interviews and various other sources who dropped 2 cents to the situation, I like to believe were on the right track more so - I wasnt totally convinced by Frank, and definitly not by Suge!!

all of that is true deez, but also check in To Live and die in L.A. where he says Better learn about the dress code, b's and c's..in the mall and he points down to his shit Plain Black/white fits.
I think he was pointing to his clothes since the lyrics referred to dress code; I don't think it was done to make his neutral-colored outfit known, especially since in the same music video, he's sporting a red Dodgers hat at the end, like I mentioned before.

and on the Makaveli cd and other tracks usually always mentioned bloods crips together in the same line.
The only time I can recall that on the Makaveli CD is on "Krazy" when Pac says, "I see Bloods and Crips running up the hill," which isn't really a shout-out to both sides as much as it is an observation. But let's not forget about the other Blood references in the album... "M.O.B. Big Suge in the lo-lo," "Neckbone, Tre, Heron/Hen Dogg (not sure what the guy's name really was), Buntry too (all Bloods who aren't Death Row musicians)," "Fuck the rap game, nigga, this M.O.B."

If anything death row as a whole I think had plenty more connects than just bloods and never realy Know how far the whole "m.o.b" shit works out.........
I'm sure they had connections outside of the Blood network, but it made up the majority of their muscle. The Crip gang members were mostly with Dogg Pound members (Snoop, Daz, Kurupt, Nate, etc.), whereas the numerous Blood members (from Leuders Park, Mob Piru, Tree Top, Bounty Hunters, etc.) were all part of the Death Row entourage that eventually isolated the Crip affiliates from the group.

Death Row was strapped at the 1996 VIBE Awards when Pac and Biggie saw each other for the first (and last) time after the shooting.

Unfortunately, everybody's stories are conflicting. After reading Frank Alexander's book several times, he is not a reliable source since some of his information is completely ridiculous. (The first thing that made me think that was how he said Pac threw up the "W" hand sign in that picture of him on the stretcher after getting shot in New York, when it's quite clear it's his middle finger. Your average person wouldn't make such a blatant mistake. Then there's the footage of him on the Welcome to Death Row DVD, when he puts his hands about eight inches apart, saying that the white Cadillac that shot at the BMW was that far away. If that were the case, then the shooters have terrible accuracy.) I'm not even going to begin with Suge, the biggest bullshitter and controversy-stirrer in the rap game.

Yeah i'm sayin that, with the red hat you could also see him in the neutrals. and it's not like he didn't wear blue shit during death row

My point realy was that thru the day before the hsooting, Pac would shout out Deathrow, Westside etc all the time but Never say shit about red or that hes rollin with certain set. And nother time he said bloods crips in a line was like with Fame, that he recorded same month as Makaveli and said 'win or lose, red or blue, we must all stay true'. The "Fuck the rap game, nigga, this M.O.B." could still be Money Over Bitches. why would Pac had gone out of his way every track sayin it, and most of the time explainin Money Over Bitches; even havin a Song Based on it, titled M.o.b (not money over bitches), and had a Crip like Syke rap on it too.

and hell, with Syke Pac still mentioned syke on lot of shit and even did Me And My Closest Roaddawg with him, with even on this track havin some shout to Suge didn't he? Or M.o.b in a certain verse. Pac was just a ridah

'Born as a rebel, makin trouble for the devil
Let's take this gangbang shit, to a whole nother level

"I'm not no, dumbass motherfucka I don't bang for the color or the land. I bang for the principles and the honor

this is true. and you could make pointthat Frank made the shit up to make himself look better (well actually think he did alot in the book...). but hell we have like you said not much better resources first hand to go on

True, but it's very evident that Pac wore tons more red than blue, and in his last month or two, his favorite color seemed to be red. I can go into that in further detail, if you'd like.
EDouble said:

True, but blatantly saying something like, "I'm down with the Pirus" or something along those lines wouldn't be ideal from a musical standpoint or from a marketing standpoint since he'd still want to sell records to that crowd while not making them his enemies. Just look at the Game, he's a known Blood, yet he gives shout-outs to the Crips on tons of songs, probably to not turn them into enemies while trying to get them to support his album and himself as an artist. And despite that, it's hard to believe that Game himself never rumbled with Crips. Let's not forget that a Crip shot at him and his brother before (but neither of them were hurt), it would be hard to imagine Game not wanting to ride on the guy who did it.
EDouble said:

It could be, but my money's on it being a reference to the gang. Look at the context. I could bring up other examples if you want.

Exactly. Frank just wanted himself to still look like the greatest bodyguard there ever was, despite his clients getting dumped on.

EDouble, this is some good shit!

^yup

About the shoutin blood shit...but it's like with the Game, everybody knows hes a blood and a blood from compton its nothin if he actually shouts out some crips on tracks and shit it's known. Point with Pac was, at any chance he Got he would go off yellin out shit and don't u think (not blatentitly like 'i'm a piru) would Hint at somethin?

Becaue even if you try to present the M.o.b.s like 'so believe me, we enemies' or 'stick a needle in my eye if i don't live and die for.." (hell wasn't syke on the original to that too? well maybe you could say the same shit like he had DPG and they were crips etc..but still), you can still point at the Money Over Bitches. and obviously Pac was usin Money Over bitches as early I think as Prison accordin to lyrics and etc shit from prison and it's obvious in first parts of tenure at Deathrow he wasn't in shit, the only question some body could have is the last part.

And there's never been any hard evidence put out that he was ever put in as the shit, really nothin thats good substantialialy and Everybody even people around him or some people close to him seem to have different stories on Everything let alone whether or not he was bangin as a blood or some shit.

True, but werent the awards in New York? That territory was dangerous back then for them.

Yeh Suge "the bullshitter" knight is unreliable for anything.

Frank suprised me though, wouldnt expect him to make soo many errors in his story, and we know there errors cuz half the shit he said dont make no sense. But why would he get it soo wrong? He suffered from Mental Depression, and that can raise the risk of Dementia. I dont think even he remembers what happened that night, he's probably trying to fit the pieces like everyone else.

Peace

You're thinking of the 1996 MTV VMAs, which were in New York. I was referring to the VIBE Awards in L.A. when Pac was wearing the military fatigues. Pac, Suge, and other Death Row associates (mostly Blood, I'm assuming) surrounded the Bad Boy entourage while they were leaving (supposedly rolling with some Crips). Guns were brandished, but nothing happened other than verbal arguments.

Ah yeh, but on your own turf i guess you know the situation, especially when people in the PD are associated to you. Thanks for that correction though -

I still think they decided not to take any firearms cuz they rolled deep that night. I think Kidada mentioned when 'Pac didnt pack his vest, thats the same reason he gave.

Still very questionable, i just found a logical reason (other than a theory which people always throw up) which explains why they didnt carry heavy that night. Suge's got connections in Vegas so if they did need a firearm he could of easily got one arranged once he got there -.

They went specifically to support Tyson, and they showed there support in numbers. My personal opinion is that 'Pac was wrong to shadow Tyson's victory with a brawl, whether he was manipulated/influenced/, drunk, high, or just pumped up - it cost him dearly. But if we look at how 'Pac used to speak about his own demise then the events leading upto it are just stepping stones for an eventuality - which was his early death in a hail of bullets caught up in a driveby.

Peace

its funny how the same set who orlando was from is the same set who did security for bad boy/biggie wenever they went west (and I think either orlando or his uncle were there with em march 9)

Yeah, I remember reading that in the VIBE biography of Biggie. I think they were both there, maybe not necessarily with Bad Boy, but they were present. I'll check my book when I get out of work.
