Preach - linking to their threads? Not a good idea IMO. The first principle of site competition is that you don't give people a reason to visit another site that is about the same thing. Surely that's obvious? People can go on about how they want sites to be able to work together for the greater good, and it's a nice theory in principle, but this ain't communism and to be realistic that shit ain't ever gonna happen.

I think you are trying to play the role of mediator and here, but really what that boils down to is that you are sitting on the fence. In the real-world, there is no sitting on the fence. You make your decision, one way or the other.

The number 1 thing I hate about smoking weed (even though I enjoy it a lot), and the whole reason I've drastically cut down on doing it is because it gives you THAT EXACT attitude. That weed-clouded far too laid-back attitude of "It's all good, everything will work out just fine, let's sit back and watch the world go by, let's all get along, not make any decisions unless I have to". It is a lazy and lethargic attitude, and as much as I love buddah, that's the worst thing about it, not the health problems and bullshit reasons the media shouts about and in 10 years time you will look back and think "What the fuck did I do with the last 10 years of my life?".

I'm not saying that's you, but I am seeing that attitude come through in your suggestions for how this board should progress. There is no working with a rival and you should never have even mentioned that, that should be a given. You don't think it's wise for here to sport an anti mrmak attitude - yet they sport an anti-streethop attitude (at least some of them, pretty obviously since some of them are banned members of here). Trying to be righteous and have the "2 wrongs doesn't make a right" stance is not going to work in this instance. Of course I am not advocating unjustified hatred towards them, but if people want to express a criticism, let them go ahead, however they want to. If that makes it seem like there is bad attitude towards another site, so be it.

it's been so long since the post that i don't remember everything, but i think you may have misunderstood me a little bit.

i didn't necessarily mean we should team up with the enemy. but when the enemy controls all the peasants their input has a value factor, and it's not very wise of us to jack their shit and not give them props where props is due.

beyond that, it is common courtesy to source. when a website or a poster of a website who chooses to bless said website with an exclusive puts in legwork to bring this exclusive to the table, isn't it right to honor that by honoring the purpose of posting it on the site in the first place - to attract people?

you're an artist, so let me present the same ideology but in a different context. let's say you played the bass (i don't know if you do or not) and you composed a bassline for one of your band's songs. then when it is released, you receive no credits, and come time to perform the song they get another bassist to play it and cut you out of the picture. a little bit more drastic, not a very good comparison, but bear with me a little lol. i'm trying to present the notion that when we make threads with exclusive news on this board that were originally posted on mrmakaveli, we should post a link to the thread on their forum, regardless of how wise it is for business, because it is the right thing to do.

as far as sitting on the fence. it's like this. i don't communicate that often with Rukas. he is in a different time zone and the way my regular day schedule is, i'm not normally on when he is. rarely do i catch him on. sigh and sebastian aren't online that often or at least not while i am. i dont have any way to contact illuminattile. basically, it would be sort of silly to be to start off my own little agenda and start running the board a certain way when no one else is following. and we no longer have a supermod forum where we can discuss these kinda things. and i can't be fucked organising a mass pm circle thing for this shit, so i'm sitting here until someone gives me some clearances or some orders. but i'll damn sure turn sebastian on this forum if i am allowed to, and run it in a completely different way, again if someone with power asked me to.

let's say mike suggests from now on, no freeposting, all posts shall be either contributional or they shall not be at all. wouldn't mind being an ass and getting some heat for closing some posts. basically, this board has stagnated and needs to take a new direction. i can't be the person to decide that we're gonna go in a new direction, or what that direction will be, but i'm saying that soon as someone do, i'm down for the cause.

Yes this section will go to sleep again... 2pac has been dead many a year now... And as far as I can see very little news is being posted here... Very few threads are started and unless they're about Dante (Is he more famous than Pac?), no one is interested... They fizzle after 2 pages....

Maybe if you posted something instead of quibling about rules which have been in place for 7 years... And rules which were in place before you joined.
