What motivates you?

the only people i've seen that ain't motivated by money are suicidal homeless, people dying of chronic illness, and spoiled folks.

without money you have nothing, bottomline. family and friends might have been good enough when were nine or 15 or just born plain filthy rich. but as adults tryin to survive money is a necessity(sp?) to have. i can't imagine how it cannot be at least some small bit of motivation in someone's life. i'd have to follow a motherfucka with a camera around for at least a year to even try to understand that.

^Of course i want money. I want more money than everyone in the entire world. But so does everyone else. I feel like if i say money motivates me, then what the hell am i living for? There are so many more motivating things then money. Memories, the future, friends, family, life, music, happiness.

Exactly my point. EVERY ADULT NEEDS MONEY. So literally, EVERYONE has the same motivation. I was trying to get into more personal things. If everyone needs it, then why use it as motivation. I would rather use my personal life and things that happen in my life as motivation.

I just dont like to use money as motivation in my life. You can do what ever the hell u want to do though, im not gonna think any less of anyone using money as THEIR motivation. Oh yeah and its extremly unfunny when u say "money" just to try and be funny. Maybe u should go on Wild 'n out or Yo Momma with those predictable, corny ass jokes.

I completly agree with you. Money is something you need to survive, but i don't think something like that is a motivation, it is a necessity. A motivation is getting money doing the job you like, for example. (that's Herzberg's theory, for those who study management, lol)

I'd die happy if I could become famous and make all these dumb girls realize what the hell they had.....tht would be the sweetest joy...this motivates me (and thus money comes with it and the fact of being a vocal leader).....let them pray that this never comes treu because I havent forgot a damn thing.

Thanks. I dont know, I would just feel like Im just another robot if i was saying money motivates me. It would make me feel worthless. When i walk outside the door each morning I have so much to be thankful for. That enough is motivation, to wake up in the morning and feel the nice spring breeze flowing thorugh my buzzed hair. Good ol' Herzberg :thumb:

Money is a motivation for me as far as it allows me to experience things that bring me joy, without it I wouldnt be able to afford paints, canvases, brushes, turps etc so without money as one of my motivations I couldnt express myself through art. I think it becomes sad when money is someones only motivation.
I have so many at different points in my life, I strive for the feeling I get when I've finished a painting and its better than the last. When I can see improvement in myself and its always nice to get recognition. Also just bettering my life, progressing.

I dont need motivation to be honest, i just get on with it. I aint a lazy person.

But the people who have motivation are anything but lazy. To do something for the sake of doing it without a reason or purpose motivating you seems pointless to me. I think motivation will get people further in life in comparison to those who just do stuff/just conform... and it will be a more satisfying existence too.

listening to "Jungle Love" by The Time motivates me.

My motivation is boredom. Sometimes I find myself doing things I wouldn't normally do just to make life less mundame; I get bored really easily.
