Elitism is a factor, but the bigger problem is people thinking they each know how the board should be run, or who should be allowed to say what, or thinking they know better than the people in charge.

I still dont get what Jocka was on, he asked a question and it was answered yet he thought his answer was better than the one provided, which he asked for, so he lashed out. He was dealt with, end of story.

The bigger problem is the people that come in, and PM me, thinking they know whats best for the board in terms of who should be banned and who should be allowed to stay.

I understand where the two of you above me are coming from, elitism in terms of post counts and bannings is wrong, everyone should be treated equal no matter their post count, date of registration or rep points or anything. But at the same time, the quicker you realize there is, will always be, and should be elitism in terms of admins having final say the better.

The fact is, no one here is equal with me, no one here puts in the time and money I do. No one here is equal with Amara or Pittsey, no one here puts in the time and money they do. This is not a democracy, a union or anything like that. There are equal rights among members, but the admins and mods are above members.

The quicker you realize you're not on equal standing with the people who make the choices here and keep the site alive the better off you'll be, the quicker you accept it for what it is, the better you'll sleep at night, so to speak.

And he hasn't been someone who's made bad decisions and broke the rules for 5 years, he's been a solid member, he once ran a graphical tournament and league here, and helped with a very short termed story writing forum, he's been a contributer to this website. I can understand the 'breaking' the rules thing, but still, he didn't even get probation.
