^why should he check a dictionary, when he's got people on this board ready to answer his question? If he had never asked, then many peole who never even thought about this would not have had this piece of information.

And it probably would never have effected them in life ever.

It's not a big deal to me that he asked us, but I think it'd be beneficial to him to take it upon himself to use his resources rather than asking us to do it for him.
