So I got into a friendly arguement with some folks about whether it was possible to have a 100 mb / ps connection. Yes, feel free to make fun of me for not being *that* tech savvy. Anyway, I cited the DSL connection here at work as an example of it. Attached is a pic;

I ask, is it possible to have a 100 mb / ps connection or am I reading this wrong?!

You've got your lions crossed.

What you're seeing is the speed of your local network, not the speed of your connection to the internet. Also 100Mbps is 100Mega BITS per second which means you can transfer data at 100/8 Mega Bytes per Second over the network.

You need to ask what connection your server PC has to the internet if you want to find out your real net speed there.

Peace.
