For the first time in years pro-whaling nations achieved a majority in the IWC ( International Whaling Commission ).
Anti-whaling organisations now fear Japan and Norway made a big step towards the commercialisation of whaling.
Some main points of the declaration:
- The use of whales contributes to the lowering of poverty (WTF???)
- There is no more necessity of the continuance of banning the commercial whaling. (Sure, everyone has heard of the millions of whales swimming in the oceans)
The document determines that whales eat lots of fish. Therefore the "management of whales" helps feading the people living at the coasts. <----Suuuure......
Japan basically buys votes by giving financial aid to smaller countries.
^^^^^^^^
Lets see how many years are left until there are no whales no more....
(Maybe someone can find an english article)
