you know, they fixed that problem like 3 years ago. and VAC was disabled on 1.6 2 years ago so its full of hackers now.
any way, how about Counter Strike 2D? its free and small to download.

I recommend you look at BlackMesaSource, I seriously cant wait for that game, its a source remake of Half Life 1, but not with the shitty graphics of HLSource.

can someone explain what system mario kart is for and what all i need to dl in order to play with you guys???
Mario kart is from the super nintendo, you need a super nintendo emulator called zsnes.
However, there will be no Mario Kart for us, it is only 2 player.
CS2D works, we can have upto 32 people playing, what we need is for some one to set up a server, I made a server and it all most worked but for some reason, it kept giving a ping time out when people tried to connect to my machine.
If any one has a connection with a good upload rate and some knowledge with setting up servers please PM me.
its CS2D, if we get some one with a good enough connection to host, it should be ok.
Also you dont get emulators for games, you get emulators for consoles, then you just download the games rom file from a rom site.
I still say either CS 1.6 or CS:2D looks like a fun simply time killer that most people will be able to play on their machines, so somebody hook up a server please...
yeah i used to play warcraft at my day camp with the whole gang in a computer room online. it was the shit. and there can be i think 8 players or something like that. could be nice.
I'm gonna have a look to see how much it would cost to rent a 16 man CS1.6 server, if its not too much, I might pay some towards it. We can password it so only StreetHop members can play.
There's a program called "hamachi" - it simulates LAN connection between players around the world online. 1 person creates a room in hamachi, everybody else join and everybody's connected. Then you start game, choose LAN and you're done. You see other Streethop members in your local area network window :thumb: You can play pirated games that way 
Works on CS, Tiberium wars, fifa world cup and so on, it worked with all games I tried. It might be a good idea to make a "streethop" room in hamachi. You can always check who logged in, who's playing etc. It's also faster, more private and safer than playing online. Especially with pirated games
btw. My connection is 4mbps, ping on hamachi is lower than in normal online connections because it works kinda like p2p, not server based connection.
