Ether came out late 2001 and Friends came out on "Too Gangsta 4 Radio" in 2000 and has been bootlegged since '97 or '98 so it wouldn't be too hard to sample it.

That removed line from Hit 'Em Up didn't say "Fuck Jay-Z." If I recall correctly, it said something like, "Chino XL, fuck you too, [Jay-Z, Lil' Kim, Lil' Cease], all you motherfuckers, fuck you, die slow"

I know that. The removed part was in the brackets, I put the parts that were before and after it in my post as well for context. I put it to show that the song didn't exactly say "Fuck Jay-Z" to further prove that it was from "Friends" and not "Hit 'Em Up"
