I think you should try 2 move on 2 another position cause what is the worst case? They tell you nope, there is no other job in the moment avaible but probablly you could still keep the job you're doin right now. There isn't a lot to lose plus I do believe that it actually could help you a lot with your career if you show them that you are intersted in the company and stayin' with the company.
