Wal-Mart Store Receives Bomb Threat, Sends Employees to Look For It
A Canadian Wal-Mart is being investigated by the Quebec Workplace Health and Safety Board after a store in the region apparently received a bomb threat, and then forced its employees to conduct a search.
Local police were also called, although they curiously appeared without any bomb detecting equipment. When asked why the employees were expected to search for the bomb, Wal-Mart remarked that it simply wanted to help the police officers.
No bomb was ultimately found, but the story isn't over for some. Several employees called the experience "traumatic," citing their lack of training in how to respond to such a situation. It is unknown why a bomb squad unit was not consulted.
