I was looking for this a while back, in that keyboards thread.

This, my friends, is awesome.

It's a little device that plugs into a USB port and projects the image of a keyboard onto whatever surface you aim it at. When you press one of the virtual keys, you break an infra-red beam which tells the computer which key you pressed.

but by pressin the T key wouldn't you be breakin the beam for some other letters  so has does it know what key you pressed?

I think they retail for £100. There are plenty on eBay.

It knows what key you were pressing by where you break the beam. It works, though from what I've read the versions out now don't work especially well. Give it a while and I'm sure they'll be just as usable as a regular keyboard.

While we're on the topic of keyboards, check out the Frogpad palmtop keyboard.
