Violence spread through downtown Buffalo, New York’s entertainment district early Sunday morning. Jim Jones along with Byrd Gang was due to perform at the nightclub, The Tralf. Given the multitude of concert goers and capacity of the club, tons of concert goers were left outside. After club owners locked the front doors, outside would-be patrons tried to rush the doors, causing a stabbing and an assault on a female police officer.

"There were probably about a thousand to fifteen hundred people waiting to get into the club that couldn't get in," said the Tralf's owner, Rohit Kapoor.

Countless fights broke out and the officer's assailant, 36 year-old David Jones, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration. While in police custody, David Jones complained of a pain in his side and police realized Jones had had been stabbed. He was taken to a hospital and treated for the wound, which was not life-threatening.

Less than an hour later, police were called to the same area, a block over to an incident where a man walked up to a minivan, shot a single bullet to the face of a driver, killing him instantly. Police reported the passenger and relative of the victim panicked after the shooting. He leaned over the driver's side and pressed the gas pedal, causing the car to accelerate and crash into the sides of a couple cars. The killer is still at-large.
