There's your answer. He hasn't slept nights. Nothing was said about the daytime. Or he meant he's gone three decades without sheep. That's why he has infinite numbers of them running around his mind at night.

It's impossible to go without sleep for more than 72 hours. Impossible. There's no miracle. He's getting sleep.

I call bs, ive done it...

I know drug addicts who've stayed up weeks at a time high on drugs. 3 decades is hard to believe. Maybe after the first month the body just adjusts to it. For example running on low energy for certain periodes of the day.

I think it's not so much the body as the brain that can't stay awake 30 years. I highly highly highly doubt that's possible.

Did you have electrodes attached to you and scientists monitoring you to see if you didn't fall asleep once? Didn't think so. All "sleepless" people experience periods of dozing off for a few seconds or more after a few days without even knowing it. After 3 days, you will hallucinate and confuse dreams with reality. I've stayed up a few days and starting dreaming while awake. A minute later I was like, "Why was I thinking about that? Oh...I was dreaming." Sleeping with my eyes open, walking around. Only catching myself afterwards because I didn't know how my thoughts got where they were.

And people on drugs staying up for weeks, please! They're hallucinating from the drugs alone, you think they can tell when their brain is going into slow-wave sleep?

he's an alien

but nah seriouly, this is a fuckin lie.you need sleep to survive.it's just like reading a story about a man who survived 33 years without drinking water, makes you roll your eyes

makes me wiggle my ears

lol. This turned into a good debate. I just don't see how it is possible. I stayed up all night one night because of a bad sunburn and went to work after. I tried taking a shower and going to a friends after that and had to leave because I was getting dillusional (sp). My brain would not work. But who knows we could all be wrong.

Why do you all think its a lie? Just because you havent heard of it before? Oh wait, I know, maybe your all doctors or at least people who know what your talking about. I think its beleivable, im sure he might doze off a few minuits here and there, but i'd hardly call that sleeping.

And just because you guys cant do it doesnt really mean much. Its not like hes trying to not sleep; its a disease.

Also, the human body can adapt to different sistuations.

What's your explanation? because you think so? go read a book then explain your theory. Better yet, read a dictionary because your spelling is horrible. Also, not being a doctor does not mean you do not possess knowledge about how the body works.

if it were true,he'd be dead.when you sleep, your hormones are normalized, your muscle tissues are repaired, your energy levels are restored, your heart and your brain take a rest from a hard day's work.Without sleep your body will jump into a catabolic state and will eventually start feeding from your heart muscle and other organs for extra energy to repair other tissues.

most i been awake for is about 40 hours when i went to the states, cuz of the time change an all, but i fucking slept for like 12 hours when i finally did get to sleep, wonder if this guys a major whizz head??

I said its believable, thats an opinion, I didnt even try to offer a theory.

Also, you havent proved its impossible, all you've done is explained what happens when we sleep. And, thanks to you, I learned something today. Good job.

Oh yeh my speeling suks, so wat? You gonna try and turn it into a diss? Alright thats cool, just take a loook at your grammer skills first, you might find its not that impressive either.

Nah but I tripped balls between workin and going out from thursday night till sunday night withought sleep. Craziest weekend of my life, went to canada to us all weekend.

Wow. Whoever said someone can't stay awake for 3 days needs to go to a party or something. It's being done daily, or every 3 days or whatever. Longest I've gone is 5, you kind of turn into a zombie not making any sudden movements or talking much just staring kind of, kind of cool really, you see people but don't do anything, it's like all your cares are gone and you just enjoy what you want to, that's how it was for me at least. I was on x so it's not like I was hallucinating either. It was a cool experience but I wouldn't do it agian i dont think, felt like shit for like a week after. But 33 years, if the body adapts I would say it is possible, maybe he eats enough and has enough nutrition in his diet to do it. Would be crazy though to see how he functions, how slow he is or whatever.

Wrong, you can do a week, but still some people say they don't sleep when in fact they do, a lack of sleep can't kill you, but your system needs it, the guy would be majorly fucked up and couldn't afford working at his farm if he really had no sleep. He has to sleep a way or another, elsewhere he would be in coma.

Only war veterans experienced long time lack of sleep, but they still ended up sleeping. That chinese dude is just an attention whore.
