So a lot of people are hating on Vanilla Ice for that VH1 special where they tried to remake his carreer, but he had sumthin to say about it on his website.

My thoughts about the VH1 Show "Remaking":
When I first saw the show I was upset. I had a gut feeling that they would edit it in a very negative way. I guess that is to be expected because of my refusal to do what they were asking me to do. They have so much more footage that would have made the show so much more balanced and positive. The way they edited it was totally under the producer's control and they chose to slant the show negatively.
I know a lot of people are hating on me because of the show. So for those who do not understand why I declined to let someone do my hair, re-dress me, and make me over again it's because I would just rather remain doing my own thing, making music the way that I feel it should be. My true fans will appreciate what I do.
I have learned that when it comes to music and me - that it shouldn't be about image or gimmicks or hair style or clothes. That doesn't make the person within, it's about the MUSIC, so when I refused to let them make me into what they saw me as, they portrayed me as someone that doesn't care and that's far from the truth. It's because I do care that I didn't conform and I am not the ass they portrayed. They left out all the good parts on purpose. Life is about FAMILY AND FRIENDS! So use my life as a lesson, and just remember to "BE YOURSELF"!
P.S. I appreciate the opportunity VH1 gave me. I just wish I could have better understood their intentions. I am sorry to those who are pulling for me, but this is not the end --it's just another adversity that I will have to overcome. Thanks for your support! As for Chris I know some of you think he that "HE THREW ME UNDER THE BUS'' but we remain good friends. It wouldn't be proper if I didn't mention the ones who have pulled me out of the trenches, MY FAMILY, the VIP ARMY, and ICP and the JUGGALO'S, I will never turn my back on you! FAMILY FOR LIFE!!!
