Uteot

We all feel the same way about this album, we've been arguing since it was released. We all think that:

* OG beats were better
* OG choruses were better than most of the R&B choruses
* They shouldn't have edited out words (lyrics of This Ain't Livin, shoutouts on LastOnesLeft, outro of When Thugz Cry, etc.)

No need to keep repeating it in so many ways.

people care way too much about the OG's, if they put some of the OG's in place of some of the remixes that are out...some people wouldn't appreciate it. "Niggaz Nature" for example...that song is a club hit, if they used the original it would just be another song.

But these modern R&B/ club beats are not tupac's style, to the fans atleast

Same goes for This life i lead, and the list goes on.
if they really wanted to remove the original collaborators, then fair enough. they could have easily made a solid remix (like my og vibe) using the original instrumental or one that is patterned off of the original. the outlawz have previously reproduced songs (that sound nearly identical to the og) to be able to remove the original producer from the credits (and points).

I loved uteot except every thing they owe, it was such a bad remix.
the instrumental was kind of dope, but thanks to a mistake in the final mastering process the vocal layer was not tempoed correctly. it is mixed properly on the clean release of uteot, and when mixed correctly it sounds pretty hot.

with respect to uteot, i think they did a really nice job on certain songs. lil homies was pretty hot, but a lot of people still bitch. it's like people bitch to hear every og, but also bitch when a song they have had the og to since 1996 is remixed 7 years later.

UTEOT was a good album, but I still think the best post-homous release has to be "Still I Rise"
no the best 'post homo-us' was Makaveli then RUSD then Better Dayz and then SIR, in my opinion

I don't understand the bitchin about 'gay-choruses' like My Closest Roaddogg, This ain't livin, Changed man & Fair Xchange because All Eyez On Me book 2 had the same R&B choruses.

Until The End Of Time was a good album, my only complaint is songs like World Wide Mob Figgaz, the released doesn't capture the vibe of the OG, and one's like Let Em Have It, just plain garbage.

I think you can admit that the new choruses have a different feel to them, and it seems like they don't belong. Plus they're corny, like in My Closest Roaddogz ("Every ghetto street got a crosswalk..."), it's lame. But regarding All Eyez on Me, yes, it had R&B choruses, but it was the way they were ORIGINALLY recorded, and Pac wanted it that way.

^^^? ruined from what? it was so similar to the og or are my ears defected???

I think it's a bit much to say that Runnin on E was "ruined," but there are slight differences that make the song a lot less energetic. During the verses on the released version, one of the layers gets removed, and there is one less sound (I don't know how to describe it). Just listen for what is different during the chorus. The sound cuts back in toward the end of Pac's second verse and continues through the end of the song.

i can still listen without those small nitpicks....the only track that was ruined is All Out...assasin's version kills it

I think Kastro's verse ruined it more than the remixed beat does.

"It's me, Kastro with the goatee
Walkin' like a OG, 'cause all these fag motherfuckers owe me"
"I go all out, and if you real, you real
Feel what I'm talkin' 'bout 'cause this game is ill"

Ohhhhhh, "Kastro with the goatee," I thought it was some other Kastro who had a beard. Negro please, that's some cornball Ja Rule type rhymes.

totally hate kastro. His voice just makes me puke. The best outlaw probably napoleon, then kadafi and edi

The best of the Outlawz was Kadafi, no doubt...
UTEOT was a regular album nothing special, and for the people not involved in this Pac game with OG's and Unreleased it was all good. It still hurts my ears when I listen 2 UTEOT's closest roadodgs, nigga nature, when thugs cry or untill the end of time. But for others it was just another album of "the guy who faked his death"..
Still it's like Amaru Production is getting worse with every other album released. Who will produce next 2pac album? Everlast?
Dispite this fact there are a couple of jewels on UTEOT like Happy Home and Lil Homies.
IMHO the best posthomous albums are Makaveli, RUSD no doubt (it was kinda gift for us except Enemies With Me :)), and Still I Rise....
