Anways, I'm Scottish. Like most Scots my bloodline goes back to Ireland.

For all those interested the Scoti (from which the name Scotland is derived) were an Irish tribe who invaded and settled in Scotland during the Dark Ages.

Did Mel Play In A Movie Bout That Shit?

Braveheart. No that was about William Wallace (Braveheart) and his part in the struggle for Scottish independence.

Is Hurts talking about Braveheart - the weak portrayal of the greatest warrior Scotland ever had?

Nah, don't get me wrong, I liked it but it was riddled with historical inaccuracies.

For example. the Princess that was Mel's love interest in the film would have been about 3 at the time the film was set.

The Battle of Stirling Bridge was a great victory for Wallace & yet in the movie there was no bridge? The bridge was the reason teh Scots won the battle & massacred an English army that outnumbered them.

Also, rather than scream FREEDOM!, when he was dying Wallace was actually reciting the bible (an important fact in the fight to have him canonised)
