Charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest that were filed against Miami rapper Trick Daddy in relation to scuffle at a strip club last year were dismissed on February 14.

As reported earlier, Trick got into a dispute that turned physical with staff at Tootsie’s Cabaret on September 11 2007.

The altercation would leave the rapper with various injuries and when police arrived at the scene, Trick would be cuffed up and taken to hospital before being jailed briefly.

According to The Associated Press, prosecutors and Trick's lawyer, Jay White, reached an agreement Thursday that the rapper committed no crime and shouldn't have been arrested.

“My client got beat up, taken to the hospital and spent time in jail for being the victim of a crime,” White said.

Initial reports claimed that it was Trick who initiated the melee but his manager, Charles Young, revealed to Sixshot.com in December that the bouncers at the club attacked Trick.

“Basically he went to the VIP section that they have upstairs and the bouncers jumped Trick,” Young told Sixshot.com. “ The bouncers [said] they didn’t know it was Trick.”

“Trick was the one who called for the news people and he was arrested for the simple fact some of the police were working for the club,” Young added.
