The ban prohibiting Snoop Dogg from entering Australia has reportedly been lifted and the rapper is expected to tour the country in November.

Last year, Snoop was banned from entering Australia by the country's former immigration minister Kevin Andrews.

Andrews claimed he barred Snoop from entering the country because of his prior criminal convictions.

According to Adelaide Now, Snoop appealed the ban and he was granted a visa to perform in Australia this week. He will be joined by Ice Cube when he tours the country in November.

Snoop still faces challenges from family and victim support groups who want the rapper's ban reinstated.

The Victims Of Crime Assistance League (VOCAL) plans to file a formal complaint with immigration officials.

"What's wrong with these social engineers to let such a disgraceful person into the country?" said VOCAL member Noel McNamara. "There is enough violence in the community without importing violent rappers from America. This visa should be canceled. Snoop should stay home."

"Snoop trades in toxic messages of menace, violence, misogyny and lawlessness," said Angela Conway of the Australian Family Association. "We need to keep him out of Australia. These menacing, blood-soaked misogynist raps have a corrosive impact."

This marks the second ban against Snoop Dogg by a country that has been lifted.

The Los Angeles rapper was also banned from the UK in 2006 because of his criminal record and a widely reported altercation between his entourage and British authorities at London's Heathrow Airport.

Snoop would appeal the ban and a judge would lift it earlier this year. However, the judge's decision was challenged by the UK Border Agency and is still pending.
