off beat and off bar are two completely different things. maybe it wasn't your bpm that was off, but rather where you began your mix.

yea, i began mixing it the exact same way as the OG version did, then a retail version fan comes along and says its off

so the question basically is.. which one should be the right one?

First line "perhaps i was addicted to the dark side"
OG version beat 1 is the syllable ..dict.. from "addicted"
Retail version beat 1 is the syllable "was"

^^^ the pella was chopped and screwed 4 the album version..... of course the og has the correct lines at the right bar but niether is off.. the remix has the right bar as well just chopped up 2 fit the beat... both good songs im jus startin 2 get into the og more now

What do you mean chopped and screwed? the acapella wasnt touched it just starts on a different bar.

Im a fan of both the remix and OG, I like the feel on the OG more tho, the guitar is amazing.

yep that was stupid move by amaru, the difference is in singer and outro is different too.

Yeah I hate it when they put versions of a song on the album. Like Let Em Have It and Thug N Me Thug N U - they should save them shits for the CD single.

i think you got the term chopped and screwed wrong. here's a example of chopped and screwed. im gunna play the beat normally then in about 10-20 seconds im gunna screw it. i really dont feel like chopping but screwing is hella easy to do so here you go:

I like both versions, the remix was nice cos it had a different vibe than the OG but it worked well.

With the diferent versions...see what the point is. but i don't think they would ever put a og alongside on a cd with a major remixed 4 single.
