UK hip-hop artist Roots Manuva is back with his fourth album, which is released February 13th on Big Dada record label.
The album, Alternately Deep, features re-interpretations of tracks taken from Roots Manuva's third studio album Awfully Deep. The UK hip-hop artist returns here with his trademark slick mix of off-kilter rhymes and abstract beats. Included is a rework of the hit single "Colossal Insight".
Mobo award winning and Mercury Prize nominated Roots is highly regarded on the UK scene for his clever rhymes, pure ingenuity, real thought and genuine engagement. He has been around the UK hip-hop scene since 1998, which is an achievement in itself. Roots has managed to stay original, and has never tried to imitate the more successful American scene.
