It has been reported that Beenie Man was mugged in Brixton recently.
Beenie was at the opening of the Dread Music Store in the South London town when someone tried running off with his $180,000 watch.
However, Beenie’s fans chased after the perpetrator and returned the watch to its rightful owner.
Reggae producer and owner of the store Steve Martin said, “It was a crazy thing to do, but Beenie Man didn't overreact. He was brilliant about it and didn't let it spoil his day.”
Police were called but Beenie Man chose not to report the crime.
