Since Tupac's family life was complicated, it's easy to confuse certain figures and the role they played. I was going through it in my head the other day and I just want to make sure I have everything right.

Billy Garland - Tupac's biological father
Legs - hustler living with Afeni and Tupac for a short time
Mutulu Shakur - Tupac's stepfather and central father figure
Geronimo Pratt- Tupac's godfather
Seykiwa - Tupac's half sister (same mother, different father) Is her real father Mutulu? I'm not certain.

I also can't remember who Donald Goines was, but that name sticks out in my head.

Can anybody confirm all this?

thanks

I think Crook was Legs' real last name but I'm not 100% sure.

I also heard somewhere that Tupac proposed to Jada at some point in time. Can anyone confirm this? I know they were very close and the best of friends, but I'd never heard this before.

Donald Goines was mentioned in tradin war stories, sayin 'donald goines, my father figure' thats probably where you heard it
but Pac in them lines was talkin in a historical sense and-Donald was a famous street writer in the early 70s before he & his wife were shot and killed.- in just a few yuears he wrote like close to 20 novels

I remember reading that somewhere, it was quoted from Jada Pinkett herself. But she said it was the weed addict in Pac (around 1993 or 1994) that was proposing to her or something along the lines of him not being in the proper mindstate to propose. It might've been in Dyson's Holler If You Hear Me book, I'll check.

I remember somewhere someone saying Jada was the one that proposed to Pac, but Pac declined it becuz it was only out of Jada's sympathy for Pac. I'm pretty sure this is right

Are you sure? I remember it being the other way around, plus I specifically remember JADA turning down PAC'S proposal. For some reason, I think this interview might've been in this really old issue of ELLE that featured a long Pac article called "To Die like a Gangsta"... Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Elaine from Seinfeld) was on the cover. But I never got a chance to check the Dyson book, I'll check it soon.
