Although we know it is a story about an icon, a legend, a poet, an actor, a rapper, a soulja, a prophet and hip hop genius, everyone else will think of it as nothing but a documentary on a drugged up gangsta rapper who had guns and was shot because of his drug relations. Nothing but a "brain dead rapper like everyone else" (What my step-dad thinks). It is a shame. I hope whoever has to vote takes tim to seriously watch this film.

I dont think thats true, just cos he has a 'colourful' past doesnt mean it cant win.. why would it get nominated in the first place?.. it doesnt glorify his lifestyle and say these things are cool..it just tells a story...

but that burger one will probably win cos it would relate to more people i guess..

Yeah think Super Size me will win but this is an honour.

Although I think a good film about one of the most important voices of the last quarter century, IMO, the most important voice of the 90's, should win, I think Shot 21 is right with most of what he says. Although I don't think the judges will write it off, I don't think they will be able to grasp the significance of the man like they may a film like Denzil Washington's Malcolm X. Now that film had extra poignency because everybody knew the basics of Maclolm's story, everybody knew his struggles were real. I just think a lack of understanding will see Ressurection go underappreciated.
