Tupac on Koreans...

Let's not turn this into a racist thread where we group the acts of a few and blame their whole race. Also lets not be cliched about it.

Back in the ealy 90's there was a lot of tension in the hoods, especially in Cali, between Blacks and Koreans. It was hood politics. The Koreans opened up many shops across the hood, they were taking the money and were succesful, largely down to their work ethic. But the money got taken out of the hood and not re-invested, like black business before had done. This angered many blacks. So shops started getting robbed. This made all koreans suspicious of blacks.

Pac heard a story of a young girl who got shot in the back, either because she stole a bottle of juice or because the store owner thought she did. I have heard and read conflicting stories. She died. Pac was angry about this.

Here on Earth, tell me what's a black life worth
A bottle of juice is no excuse, the truth hurts

I think it's pretty obvious 'Pac was a bit racist when he first came out ( can u blame him ) but he learned & changed ... he said it himself in some interview for crying out loud

"I'm not racist anymore , I killed that" and as has been said "tell the lady in the liquor store she's forgiven"

the "so come home" part , did she flee the town or something?

2pacs a crazy dude :thumb:

I have a question, why did Tupac seem to have such a strong hatred for Koreans? He points out how "crooked" and corrupt Koreans were and shit...

I could never figure it out, looked online a lot to try and find it, but couldn't seem to get anything.

Anyone know?

"Korean muthafuckaz waz crooked, so niggaz had 2 burn and loot em".

naw man, i can probably see 2pac hating on Koreans. They really are crooked fucks. Beleive me, i know first hand. He probably had some small beef goin on with some pack of asians or something

Thanks for stereotyping all koreans .... I really can't visualize how you claim to like pac's music while it seems like you think just like those fuckers with white hoods on their heads that go out and kill blacks, jews, asians, and gays....

sorry to say but I know a lot about what happened in LA but my parents have a shop and if you see the violence that often occurs...you wouldnt blame shop owners for carrying a gun...shooting a lil girl is not alright but neither is armed robbery that forced the shop owner to get a gun to feel safe.

True. Heard this many times.

Hey, I can understand where Pac was coming from, but fuck all of you hating on Koreans. He himself later went back on his hatred(tell the lady she's forgiven, so come home), but first of all, most Korean shop owners aren't from the "hood" anyway, everyone knows that. My mom had a shop like this in DC when I was about 3-4 years old, and yes, she got robbed by gunpoint by two black men at one point. Now, was she a "crooked" Korean? She doesn't carry a gun, never gave a fuck about reinvesting in the "hood", but she did what she had to do to get by, just like the rest of us. Obviously now, she has a certain amount of distrust for black people. If I were there and old enough to do anything, I'd fuck them over as much as I could. This is where I could see blind hatred coming in(the Latasha incident) but blindly stereotyping all Koreans doesnt' do shit. Tell me exactly WHAT Koreans have done to you to become "crooked" in your eyes, you hateful fucks.

Latasha Harlins

Look you shouldnt shoot no one over 1.79.. but As the article is written the girl put the bottle in her backpack and then went to pay... I think this is BULLSHIT!!! the girl was stealing shit.. When she got confronted, she punched the lady, and got POPPED.. She in the HOOD,, what would a brother do if he got jacked?

Dont know if anyone mentioned this yet but, most of that stuff was recorded while the LA riots were still fresh in peoples minds..

whether u like it or not.. from about 1991 - 1993 pac's music had racist content in some of it... thats the truth.. full stop. There's no denying it.

He was a racist.. but he grew out of it.. he grew up.. he began to love all races the same.. he matured.. and realised that by being racist to whites.. n koreans etc.. he wasnt any different then a white being racist to a black..

I agree with your point. And if you check my post I put both sides of the story in there. This is a 2pac forum most people are gonna jump on his dick and agree with him, even though they don't have the knowledge to create a fair opinion. Pac generalised a whole race. It was the way things were in L.A at them times, remember the race riots and the Rodney King incident. Pushed people over the edge and people weren't thinking straight. Hence why as he matured he realised thet just because Korean store owners had different agendas to black store owners doesn't make them wrong. Part of the reason was jealously, Koreans were more hard working, and hence, succesful.
