It's too forced. He sounds nothing like Pac, his accent is different, he has none of the same characteristics, looks nothing like Pac. No, just no.

I wouldn't mind if the "2pac" actor looks/sounds (voice wise) nothing like Pac. I think the story is strong enough on its own, get the charisma and the attitude is a must, but I think it'd be too distracting if they try and get a look-a-like, plus that means your cutting out a huge amount of people that might/would be better actors. Is it a guy? Is he Black? Does he have that charisma? Is he a GREAT actor? Ok I'm cool with that.

I really hope they don't fuck this up. I watched Notorious the other day and it was major LOL's..

Does Afeni have much/any control with the movie?

Also while I'm typing up this massive reply, I would really like the bulk of the story to be his childhood/teen years.. It's almost like they should do a mini-series to cover it all. :) lol....

You just wasted the 43 seconds of my life I spent clicking and watching a small segment of that.

Like I said I can't watch it because of a crappy connection so I would have known it was that bad I would not have posted it..... Just trying to get some discussion on this board cause its been pretty dead for a while

Here is another guy from Jersey city.... Tupac's dad endorses this man and he said Afeni is supposed to help him..... I don't know if he can act, but he does look the part....

For anybody interested......

Hudson Reporter - ‘Pathmark Tupac’ Hollywood bound Rapper look a like hopes to land role in forthcoming biopic

I think the success of this movie and reviving Pac's popularity to the way it was following Resurrection is going to hinge on who plays Tupac in this movie..... Of course the younger generation doesn't know what a polarizing, charismatic figure Tupac was, but most critics, especially in their late 20's and beyond, will not be satisfied with a less than stellar performance from the lead....

I also hope this movie can distance itself from Notorious.... I've always felt that Tupac was the better rapper, maybe not lyricist, even though its debatable... Biggie definitely did not possess the star power and the biopics of these two will show you why.....

Tupac's story is much more complex and interesting and Tupac's career and life can stand on its own..... Biggie's most important and relevant moment of his short career was his beef with Tupac..... Tupac's movie will be great even if they would omit the whole Biggie beef, but Notorious' most important part involved Tupac, even though it was not accurately portrayed......

Biggie was a great talent, but Tupac essentially made Biggie into a superstar, even though he very well may have become one anyway.....

I just sometimes get tired of everytime since Notorious was made, it seems that people can't mention Tupac without mentioning Biggie even though Tupac was already and would have been an even bigger star without the Biggie beef......
