Trying to quit smoking...Any advice?

Not so much cigarettes but marijuana. It started affecting my school work and It kind of withdrew me from my family and friends. Plus all the times I've been nearly arrested, it's just not worth it anymore. In all honesty though, I do not blame the actual marijuana for this. I blame myself for not having self control with it and being more responsible about it. Anyways, I've tried quiting a bunch of times and I never have any luck. Anybody got any useful tips to help me out?
Just remember that smoking weed sucks then go get drunk and blown. Actually if this is a serious issue for you, never try good drugs (like coke and ecstasy). I've never understood how someone could have a problem "quitting" weed (lol @ that btw). Get some fucking will power homie. Chances are your friends are dead beats and need to be cut anyway.

Just remind yourself what you are losing every time you keep smoking. A lot of people say weed is harmless and it's natural and bla bla bla but I have seen how it turns people and changes them and never for the better. You either quit now or regret it forever.

PS. I have smoked it and I do on occasion so don't tell me I don't understand because I never smoked it. I like getting high too just like the next person but anything that puts you in that kind of state will eventually change you from overuse. Smoking once a week is overuse. Drinking once a week is overuse.

Anyway just my 2 cents. Let's smoke up and reflect on it! lol

Your such a poon.

Whats so ahrd about stopping, weed isnt even addicting. You're not going to have withdrawals or anything wtf, just stop lol

Cigarettes just go cold turkey.

Weed is psychologically addictive.....people get into certain habits and then it's hard for them to break those habits, regardless of whether you have actual physical withdrawals or not.

When I went cold turkey on cigarettes, I had very mild cravings that were easy to beat, but breaking out of actual habits was harder. Like, I would smoke a cigarette just before I went to sleep every night, and that was hard to get out of that routine.

Some nights after I kicked it, I just wouldn't sleep. Or I'd stay awake until I felt physically tired and had to sleep. I felt like I should be doing something because it had been part of the routine for so long.

..do something a bit more productive with the time u usually spend bunning and sitting around talking about other times u bunned.

get a girl that doesnt smoke / doesnt like smokers?
join the gym?
pick up some books?
get some friends that dont burn?
all of the above?

.. I personally dont think weed is hard to quit at all... ofcourse u might feel like burning a spliff once in a blue moon but generally its really not that difficult. You just gotta think of better ways to waste ur time thats all

Take it literally one hour at a time.
All these things people are suggesting you to do are good in a longer term process, but if you're trying to quit asap, take it one minute-hour at a time.

Get past every hour and stop yourself, sooner than later, it'll be a whole day, then sleep on it, then wake up and keep thinking of what you're trying to stop. You smoking weed. Stay focused, every time your friends or whatever call and ask u to smoke or buy some shit, THINK OF THIS POST.

Seriously, take it an hour at a time. Stay focused. Don't let it slip your mind. You wanna quit. That's the bottom line.

Just stop. That's the best way. Just to have this inner wish to really really do it.

I asked my bro what he did, he said,

He looked into the mirror with the thought of weed in his mind. He asked himself if it was truly him if he smoked. He said no.

He stopped.

Yeah, stay away from your friends for a while, Don't disown them, just for a couple of weeks until you get your shit together. Peer pressure is a cunt.
