So true, but what else do you guys miss? Read the article before you reply, I dont want no chartoons listed or crap like that.

While far from gone, its been sort of left behind, I miss MD players. MD technology is so much better than MP3 because you can store a gig of music on one disc, but have an unlimted amount of discs to choose from, and play them in your car without a low quality FM signal (provided you have a MD head unit, sony made a ton of them so not too hard to find). Its also a lot easier to transfer songs from system to system.

^^^^...We still have one of those IBM keyboards. Sometimes. the clicking noise is appreciated, but not so great at other times. I like the noise because it shows how fast I can type. :)

Napster :(

Jesus Christ, I swear I downloaded like 4 gigs of music in a matter of days when that arrived.

The chat was great also, I was like..14-15.. shit can't remember

Yeah like at 2 am when you have that urge for porn? haha jokes :D

Porn just requires the mouse and then when he's doing his business the noise isnt coming from his keyboard but it does show how fast he can move his wrist.

The apple Newton. I completely forgot about those. hahahahahahaha

Wjat i think is a completely missed technology is the Nokia 5110's. Sure they were big but those fuckers were durable. I dropped mine from the second floor of my school and all that happened was the battery came out and the casing came loose. Just pushing it all together fixed it as if it was new. Now a days i go through phones like i go through women ;). There so weak.

The Newton
When Apple gets things right, it's spectacular (think iPod), but when the company messes up, it's a hoot. The first popular pen-based PDA, the Apple Newton, was big, expensive, and too smart for its britches. Early models tried to interpret handwriting with often amusing results, making words out of users' scrawls that often combined into surreal "Newton Poetry." We miss the Newton because what it thought we meant was often far more interesting than what we were really trying to say.

That makes me think of my friends phone!

he types in Nigga and it make it say Niggachomosky or some shit!@ lol

I still have a MD player and use it - I'm happy with it. And I agree, the stor with napster is a shame - they started all this hype, got fucked, and Kazzaa and all them others is still online.

Its a different technology, they could shut Napster down by shutting down their systems, but Kazaa for example doesnt run on any system so theres nothing to shut down, its true peer 2 peer, where as Napster was the middle man.

For real? I thought it was because Napster had his basement in the US while Kazzaa officially is located on an iland or something where there are no laws against filesharing.

He's minted anyway. And he gets loads of cameos in movies too. I'd say he's pretty happy with the way things turned out.

If I am not mistaken, Kazaa is either an Australian or U.S. company. Like Rukas said, there's nothing here to "destroy" or "get rid" of. The government could shutdown the Kazaa website and hope that the number of users goes down, but they can't do much else.

With Napster, it was only one server, I believe. That makes it pretty easy for them. They turn that one off, and its all done.

to be honest i might get shot for this but i miss vcr`s. Dvd`s im just not feeling them still and the fact that cassettes are slowly being taken away from the racks and most my movies are on cassette it sucks even more.

ah well long live technology i guess.
