For the sake of this thread, lets assume Tony Montana is not a movie character. In this thread, he's a real life person.
Everyone is in awe of Tony Montana...but why? At the end of his life, he achieved a little. He made about $15 mil a month, and was well known in the Miami area. How is that really a big deal?
Take Pablo Escobar on the other hand. In 1989, he had $24 Billion (according to History Channel/Forbes), and he was well known in the Wester hemisphere.
Lets see. Montana was scared of no one. The same goes for Escobar. Montana constantly feared the government (i.e. he'd make sure his business was underground), Pablo didn't. Everyone knew what Pablo was doing, and he was a very public person.
The list goes on. You just can't beat Escobar. You can put Escobar and Montana in the same ring, and I'll bet Montana would run faster than Speedy Gonzales.
A real life movie about Escobar would have been much better than the fictional one about Montana. There was more violence, money, coke, and pretty much everything else in Escobar's life.
Anyone disagree?
