why do auctions with almost a week left of bidding time often have like two to three bids? why the hell do people bid like $1-2-3 on something rare? all you do is bump the price. you're not gonna win the damn thing. you only make it expensiver for the people who do. there is no point.

the final two minutes, that's when you put in your bids. and this is the end of the eBay ABC part one. in part two we're gonna talk about how some people take it to extreme lengths and place several high bids in a row days before the auctions end.

Boosting up the price by any amount when you know you're not going to win is stupid, but it's not always just 1 or 2 dollars, people will have a bid war and bid back and forth when there's still like 3 days left on the auction. Just bid at the last minute instead of constantly struggling to be the highest bidder through the whole auction. You're just making the price higher for yourself or someone else.

i don't get why you're getting pissed with me. like i'm saying, it's not personal dude lol. i can sense that you dislike me now. if i suggested we meet up in real life and have a cup of coffee together you'd be reluctant to do so. it's not like a passionate hate-feeling, you just think lesser of me now. like i've deprived you of your rights or like i'm being an ass.

listen dude. of course there's the one-time incident where you get a scoop cause no one saw it or whatever, but seriously, especially on the pac scene, waiting until the last minute to bid could save people up to hundreds of dollars. the australian "i get around" single that went on ebay recently went for, what was it again, four hundred bucks or some crazy shit? this was due to it already being at 300 when the final minute came. in this case, i will have to duldge in on some of the stuff we will be talking about in part two of the ebay abc. marvelouz had gone in there and bumped the price three times, by $20, $60 and $40 if mind serves, respectively. if no one would have put in a bid and it was at $0 when the time started to run out, a bunch of people could put in a bid in the final 15 seconds or so, and whoever put in the largest bid would win it. it could have gone for $100-200. i didn't win it, i didn't bid on it, i didn't sell it, so this has nothing to do with what i like, what i afford, what i think others can afford, what i think others should be able to afford, what i think is wrong with ebay, what my favorite ebay logo is, or nothing beyond the fact that this bidding thing fills me with frustration and questions.
